Aisling Smyth is a Textile Artist and Embroidery Designer currently based in Northern Ireland. Since gaining a First Class Honours degree from Belfast School of Art in June 2014, Aisling has been working on a freelance basis and has facilitated workshops within 'The Arts and Older People Programme' (funded by Arts Council NI), and has also gained significant experience working in the Film & TV Industry having previously worked as a Costume Assistant on productions for HBO and Fox UK.

As well as this, she has also worked continually on her own practice, exhibiting work extensively in group shows around Ireland, recently hosting two solo exhibitions of her most recent series 'A Botancial Reflection' in Belfast.

Aisling is currently working on a major commission for a St. Joseph's Convent Primary School, Newry which is due for completion in January 2016.
